Hardware rates & credit rules
Each paid seat includes 75 HC in its first month and 95 HC on each renewal. HC are service-usage units, not USD or cash. Usage is metered by the minute; the hourly rates below let you compare configurations.

Regular top-up price: $1 per HC before applicable tax. Promotional top-up packages may include more HC per dollar. The tax-inclusive total and effective price per HC are shown before purchase.
- Monthly allowance
- Included HC refresh each billing period and do not carry over. They are a monthly subscription benefit, not cash or a separately purchased prepaid balance.
- Top-ups & carryover
- You can buy HC separately. Purchased HC carry over between billing periods while your subscription remains active. Included HC are used first, preserving your purchased balance until the monthly allowance is consumed.
- When credits run out
- There is no automatic overage charge. If no included or purchased HC remain, running sandboxes pause and new sandboxes cannot start until more HC become available.
- Before you create a sandbox
- The Dashboard shows its estimated hourly HC usage and approximate runtime remaining for your available HC.
- Unused top-ups & refunds
- When your subscription ends, you can request a proportional refund for unused HC purchased separately, based on the price actually paid for the relevant top-up package.
AI billing & discounts
The first Developer month includes a one-time $25 AI Credits Starter, which carries over while your subscription remains active. For further AI usage, use your own Claude or Codex subscription or purchase AI Credits separately at OpenRouter prices with no markup. Purchased AI Credits also carry over; there is no recurring AI credit allowance.
